Relief

Relief efforts in Haiti and elsewhere are hampered by the logistics of having to move great quanities of expensive building materials great distances. This further drives up the cost of providing housing for those in desperate need. Enviro Board's unique process works with regional farming interests in-country to source the fiber for use in its extrusion mills.

This development process has several impportant benefits:

  1. Material is sourced in country keeping costs down through avoidance of tariff and transportation fees.
  2. Using regionally sourced materials a housing enterprise is more sustainable. Less transportation = less cost & emissions.
  3. More opportunity for in country workers to participate in the value chain including farmers, shippers & low-skilled workers.
